Let us share just one story with you about how God is using this new recording. A few months ago after one of our concerts we had a woman contact us to find out how to get another copy of the Finally Free CD. She had purchased a copy at the concert and listened to it and had been deeply moved by the stories, especially Missy's story. She told us she had a friend who has an adult daughter with young children who was in the midst of struggling with a terrible substance addiction. The woman told us she listened to Missy's story of how God set her free from prescription drug addiction and she immediately thought of this friend and her adult daughter. She wanted to purchase a copy hoping the daughter would listen to this powerful story of freedom. A few weeks later we received another phone call from the same woman with an update. She told us her friend's daughter didn't want anything to do with the CD at first. Then a few days later she contacted her mother to see if she still had it. She apparently had hit rock bottom and knew something needed to be done. She put the CD in and skipped to Missy's story. She began to hear Missy describe the things that led to her addiction. She listened as Missy talked about the lies Satan had put in her head to keep her at a place of denial. She also heard how God had used a wonderful Christian counselor at an inpatient rehab center to help Missy deal with issues she had been hiding deep within herself. How the hand of God reached down and brought her out of her own pit of despair. This woman was so overwhelmed after listening to Missy's story that she immediately called a local rehab center and admitted herself! She began her story of freedom at that moment. Praise God! The Bible verse that Missy came to live by during her struggle holds just as much power today as the day it was written, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" - 2 Corinthians 12:9. I thank God that He can take our failures and weaknesses and make something beautiful out of them. We are all truly trophies of His grace! |
